Pierre-Yves Verkindt, Equality at the Risk of Diversity
Referring to diversity sometimes described as a risk and sometimes as an opportunity is very common in the analysis of the changes in the social link. Even if the word does not entail any moral undertone, its relations with the principle of equality are stamped with complexity, not to say ambiguity. Yet diversity is useful when trying to give rise to a fresh thinking on the meaning to be given to the demand for equality in a democratic society.

Key Words : diversity, democracy
