Charles H. Norchi, “Thinking Below” the State Imperative. Philosophi-cally Going Back on “Nation Building”
Weakly-governed states and their collapse demand new ways of thinking about governance and legal systems and require an especially applicable philosophy of law. For that lost lawyer and the vulnerable population he purports to serve, this article urges a philosophy of nation-building standpoint of "thinking below the state." The philosophical elements urged here are grounded in the New Haven School of Jurisprudence.
