Paper's abstract

Mohammed Salah, Globalization from an Islamic point of view
Contemporary Islam has representations of globalization bearing the stamp of ambiguity. It is at the same time perceived as a speeding-up and intensification of the world westernalization process and as a reality that Islam should, at least in part, steal back. How of this ambivalent relationship toward globalization will evolve depends on the way its main actors will regulate the process.
