Jean-François Mattei, World, Globalization and Freedom
Those who criticize "globalization" under its political, social and economic aspects, object to its destructive process that would reduce the "globe" to a mere merchandise. After defining the notion of "world", which gives its meaning to human existence, we show that, despite the dangers due to the "infinite mobilization" denounced by Sloterdijk, globalization answers an implicit rationality which fosters an ethic of universal freedom.
