Jean Clam, What is doing Violence ? Intersubjectivity, Corporeality and Violability of the Person in the Fundament of natural right (1796) by Fichte
The article proposes first a thorough interpretation of the deductions of intersubjectivity and corporality in Fichte's Fundament of Natural Right. This interpretation proceeds through cross-lighting the fichtean text with texts of Aristotle and Merleau-Ponty on perception and corporality, it leads to the question of free or constraining interaction among embodied consciousnesses. It brings here Fichte's outline of a theory of violence in comparison with the one proposed in some texts by Foucault. It is designed to enrich the understanding of the one through the other.
