Paper's abstract

Pierre-Yves Gautier, Art and natural law
How many times do you hear, nowadays, forcefully claimed that the right of the author is an "natural right"? The formula has even become a slogan, if it true and fortunate that most creators enjoy a advantageous status, equal protection by law does not benefit all of them: from this point of view, the status of the artists, the very men who bring the aesthetic character of the works of "the mind" to its highest degree, includes deep incoherence, mostly based on the traps of legal language or incomplete intellectual schemes, which lead to injustices difficult to justify. Here we try, in a dialectic movement, to systematise these apparently innocuous perversions, in order to better declaim against them, by relating to natural law, taken in its spiritual function, when it fires the soul and invite consciences to reformation.
